About Us

The owner of AIRSMITHS is Michael Smith, he is an HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning) contractor who is also certified as: a HERS rater, Greenpointe rater, Green building professional, Combustion Analysis, National Comfort Institute, NBI Balancing and is a Board member of the California Building Contractors Association.  He has been working with top Executives of Sacramento Municipal Utilities District, Pacific Gas & Electricity and the California Energy Commission on various projects.  He has done several projects that these groups have monitored and used his information to forward their plans to reduce the energy use of the entire state of California by 20% before the year 2015.  He is also working on a project with the National Renewable Energy Lab in Colorado focusing on Deep Energy Retrofits with the goal of 70%--90% energy reduction in existing buildings.
